Gardenscapes is a match-3 game with a core of city building, whose mobile version was released in 2016 as the first gameplay in Playrix’s Scapes series.
In the game, there is a butler named Austin who is trying to complete the reconstruction of a dilapidated mansion and garden. The players need to complete various levels and earn the required “stars”. The core of this gameplay is to solve puzzles in pin-pulling mini-games to save the character. As the players upgrade, they can also decorate the cleaned-up areas of their gardens according to their preference.
The unique gameplay and novel storyline attracted more than 10 million daily active players during the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2021, the total downloads exceeded 461.41 million!
